On October 1st members of the Sussex & Kent ME/CFS Society met with Brighton MP, Simon Kirby who recently became a Patron to the charity. Discussions included the NHS specialist services for ME/CFS in the area and the need for substantial funding from the Primary Care Trusts to maintain and develop these vital services. Also concerns were expressed about the goverznment’s planned changes to the welfare system particularly sickness and disability benefits. Mr Kirby is looking forward to working with the organisation for the good of people affected with ME/CFS.
